How to read this page. These are emissions — the rate at which methane leaves a specific source, in kilograms per hour. That is a different measurement from the ambient CH₄ concentration shown on the air quality map, and the two cannot be added, averaged or compared. Satellites pass overhead intermittently and only detect plumes above their sensitivity threshold, so the absence of a detection is not evidence of absence. Every rate carries a ± uncertainty; please quote both.
